Histogram

Sorts a column of numbers into evenly sized buckets and counts how many values land in each, showing the shape of the data rather than a single average. The result is a small table with the start and end of each bucket and its count, ready to chart as a BarChart. Choose how many buckets with the Bins input.

Example

The Invoices table has 1,200 rows with an Amount column. Set Bins to 10 and the output table shows, for instance, that 700 invoices fall between $2,000 and $4,000, counts taper off through $10,000, and a thin tail runs out to $60,000. Feed the Count column into a BarChart to see the shape at a glance: one big cluster plus a long tail of large invoices.
