End-user license agreement

Effective 26 July 2026 · Vireo Labs

Plain-language note. Vireo is beta software from a small independent developer. This agreement is written to be readable rather than exhaustive. The two things it most wants you to know: back up anything important, and check the assistant's output before you rely on it.

1. The agreement

This agreement is between you and Vireo Labs ("we"). By installing or using the Vireo application, including through a hosted streaming session, you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use the software.

2. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Vireo for the duration of the beta program. Your license key identifies your access; keep it to yourself and don't share it. Your workbooks and your data are yours; we claim no rights over anything you create with Vireo.

3. Beta software

Vireo is pre-release. Features change, file formats may evolve, and defects exist that we haven't found yet. Keep backups of any data you care about, and don't make Vireo the only home of work you can't afford to lose. We may update, suspend, or end the beta program, or change its usage limits, at any time.

4. The AI assistant

5. What you agree not to do

6. Ownership

The software, including its design and code, belongs to Vireo Labs and is protected by copyright. This license gives you the right to use it, not ownership of it.

7. Termination

You can stop using Vireo at any time. We can suspend or end your license if you break these terms, or when the beta program ends. Sections 6, 8, and 9 survive termination.

8. No warranty

Vireo is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Beta software in particular may lose data, produce incorrect results, or stop working.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vireo Labs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the software, including lost data or lost profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the software (during the free beta: zero).

10. Changes and governing law

If we change these terms during the beta, we'll update this page and notify testers by email; continued use after notice means acceptance. This agreement is governed by the laws of the United States and the state where Vireo Labs operates.
