The short version. Your spreadsheet files stay on your computer. The app sends us data in exactly two situations: when you activate a license key, and when you use the AI assistant. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. If anything below is unclear, email hello@vireolabs.app and a human will answer.
This website
vireolabs.app is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking scripts, and loads nothing from third-party servers. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, requested page, timestamp) for security and debugging, and we don't use them for anything else.
What stays on your computer
- Your workbooks. Vireo saves .tgraph files wherever you choose on your own disk. There is no cloud storage, no account system, and no background sync.
- Your activity. The app has no telemetry. We don't receive crash reports, usage statistics, or any record of what you do in the app.
- Local logs and settings. The app writes settings and a local diagnostic log of assistant tool calls to your machine. These files never leave it unless you send them to us yourself.
What the app sends us
License activation. When you enter a license key, the app sends it to our API server to obtain an activation token. We store the key, a hashed form of the token, and activation timestamps.
The AI assistant. Assistant requests are the only other traffic. When you send the assistant a message, the app transmits what the model needs to do its job:
- your message and the conversation so far in that chat;
- context about your workbook: table names, column names and types, summary statistics, and a small number of sample values from your tables;
- the structure of your node graph, and the results of tools the assistant runs (which can include computed values from your data);
- your license key, so we can meter usage.
If your tables contain sensitive information, assume the assistant can see the portion of it described above while you're chatting. If you don't use the assistant, none of this is sent.
Where assistant data goes
Assistant requests go to our API server, which forwards them to large-language-model providers via OpenRouter, Inc. The providers process your request to generate the response; their handling of request data is governed by their own terms. We chose a server-side setup precisely so that model API keys and provider routing stay our problem, not yours.
On our own server we record usage metering, not content: token counts per request, tied to your license key and the date. We use this to enforce fair-use budgets and to understand costs. We do not store your chat messages or your table data on our server, and we do not use your data to train models.
If you write to hello@vireolabs.app, we keep the correspondence so we can follow up. Beta testers' emails are used to coordinate testing and nothing else. We don't send marketing email and we don't share addresses with anyone.
Retention and deletion
Usage metering records and activation data are kept while your license is active and for a reasonable period afterward for accounting. Email us and we'll delete your license records and correspondence, subject to anything we're legally required to keep.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll note it here with a new effective date, and tell beta testers directly by email.
